A woman has left people stunned by sharing a list of ‘how to be a good wife’ that she got from her mother-in-law. The list posted on social media includes preparing breakfast and cleaning the entire house, going to the gym every day and always smiling and supporting your husband to keep him happy.
The caption to the photo reads, “Lisa’s daily routine for being a better wife.” It starts with the alarm going off at 5 a.m. and preparing breakfast, which should always consist of eggs, toast, bacon and freshly made coffee. All of this should be ready on the table by 5:30 a.m. Exercise is next.
It read, “6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Gym – stay fit. No excuses. 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Wife must clean the entire house, including “vacuuming, dusting and mopping the floor.” Clothes must be washed daily and folded by 10 a.m.”
Once all the cleaning is done, you have to prepare lunch for the husband if he is at home, else you should make it the night before so that he can take it to work. Dinner should be on the table before 6.30 pm. Fresh home-cooked food every day. Bringing food from outside is not allowed.

“Lisa is expected to be available for her husband and any guests they may have and to provide them with drinks and homemade snacks. The wife may go to bed by 10pm so she can be ready to wake up early in the morning. This is only possible if the house is clean, lunch is cooked and the husband is satisfied. “No matter how tired you are, smile and be supportive because a good wife keeps the house stress-free!” it concluded.
The list shared on an Instagram thread did not go down well with most people. One user responded, “Insanity. OMG I couldn’t breathe laughing…” while another joked, “If I wanted a regular life like this I would stay in jail.”
